In celebration of Air Arms’ founder Robert Sinclair Nicholls’ 70th birthday year, the RSN70 Limited Edition air rifle was recently revealed at Countryman Fairs’ flagship event, the Midland Game Fair, on Saturday 17th September 2016. The RSN70’s distinct design has been replicated from Bob Nicholls’ pride and joy, the 2008 Bentley Continental GTC. The rifle’s handcrafted Minelli stock incorporates the same cream leather detailing and Umran Red paint as the Bentley.
Designed and created by Air Arms’ in-house experts, the RSN70 has been built with unique, car-themed machine component parts such as the in-built manometer with a petrol light design and the barrel’s rotating car tyre design cover. The Limited Edition rifle features an adjustable butt pad and ball-mounted cheek piece, a single shot side lever action, an extended cylinder for greater shot capacity, an adjustable match trigger and accessory rail, and a fully floating match grade barrel muzzle with built-in air stripper. Only 70 Air Arms Limited Edition RSN70 air rifles have been produced and will land in stores week commencing 26th September 2016.
As well as the RSN70 reveal, the airgun brand hosted the first-ever Air Arms Experience, which saw the coming together of the UK’s leading competitive target shooting organisations such as British Shooting, the BFTA, UKBR22 and UKAHFT. The Air Arms Experience proved to be a huge success as visitors tried their hand at different shooting disciplines and shot Air Arms’ top-of-the-range sporting rifles with experts on hand.
Air Arms Managing Director Claire West commented:
“Thank you to all who not only took the time to visit us over the weekend, but also for being part of what can only be described as a momentous occasion. Thanks to British Shooting, the BFTA, UKBR22 and UKAHFT for supporting and being part of the Air Arms Experience. A huge thanks goes to all the team at Air Arms HQ, for ensuring that the exhibition stand was ready in time. Thanks to the team at Cooper Roberts for not only for producing the magnificent Heritage video, but also for helping to pull our ideas together. Finally, thanks to the managers and ground crew at the Midland Game Fair for making sure we had everything we needed, you all went way beyond the call of duty for which I am truly grateful. Thank you.”
