The last .22LR Rio Olympic Quota places were awarded at the Asia Olympic Qualifying Competition for Shooting (OQC) in New Delhi, India and ELEY came out on top!
60% of the final Olympic Quota places were won by athletes shooting ELEY ammunition adding to the overall number of Quota places ELEY has helped to win. To add to that, a staggering 78% of athletes using ELEY stood on the podium proudly accepting Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for their country.
These results don’t just demonstrate the dedication to their sport that these athletes have but also their commitment to excellence. Those competing in the OQC are amongst the highest ranked medal nations and have all continuously batch tested ELEY tenex at our ranges year after year. Highlights of the competition included: Korean shooter Kim Jonghyun taking home both Gold medals in the Men’s 3P and Gold in the Men’s 50m Prone with ELEY tenex. ELEY shooter Tomoyuki Matsuda also won the Gold in the Men’s 50m Pistol, shooting a 10.8 in his final shot of the match.
