Thieves stole 25 Weihrauch break-barrel air rifles worth £30,000 during an overnight raid on Polowood Shooting Ground in Brighton on 24 July. They breached hedgerows and barbed wire at St Mary’s Farm, also taking pellets, power tools, and refreshments from the tea hut.
Community Rallies in Support of Owner
Owner Gary Coomber kept operations running thanks to support from the likes of C&H Weston gun shop, which sourced replacement rifles and scopes. Mr Coomber hopes the shooting community will make the stolen Weihrauchs “too hot to handle”.
